Week 13: Grinding for the final

During this week, we found out the most distracting part of our animation is the unnatural interaction between hands and objects. After discussion with faculties, we decided to fix the problem by replacing the page-flipping movement with using magic to control the page. Neal recorded the new magic controlling animation and Zi integrated the new animation into existing clips.
On the other hand, Qin continued to work on the ending scene and finished the animation of the book being converted to 2D by the rune.
However, Qin found out it would be very time consuming to draw converted 2d objects frame to frame and the result might not be very satisfying. Therefore, the team decided to place a 2d-sprite for all the transformed objects in the 3d scene in Unreal and then re-render the base video clip.

Qin drew 2d-sprites for the candle and book and Neal placed those sprites in the ending scene and made animation for those sprites to show that they are converted to 2d.
Clare completed the texture of the ink bottle and started to work on the box texture and feather pen.
