Week 10: Reflection after the playtest

We had an important playtest section with many participants outside ETC to gather feedback from different perspectives.

Here is some feedback from the playtesters: Understand the story:  Most of the audience can understand 80% of the story, and describe the story in their own worlds Can tell the difference between the first and second rune With the illustration on the instruction book, they can understand how eliminating rune works Be confused about the story: the back and forward transition between the cold dark environment and warm light environment (we fix it in the latest version) Don’t quite understand the damage caused by the second rune (fix it by adding the 2D animation) Cannot tell the gender, make the assumption of a wizard (fix it by adding human sound effect)  Environment setting: Can tell the magic world setting, mysterious and dark Can understand it’s a desk of witch  Emotional changing: 60% emotional changing: understand the moral of “don’t’ take shortcuts”–>” learn step by steps” “be careful of what you explore” 40%no obvious emotional changing: being distracted by the hands’ movements; can not understand the story
We also made a rough version of the final video clip with the environment and lighting setting complete.
