The first seven-week cycle of the EROShambo project was spent investigating the concepts and tools necessary for the creation of a "smart-theater" in which live actors, robotic performers and virtual reality puppets could all be combined on stage in a seamless fashion.

Working with artist/musician Frank Garvey our team focused its efforts on the creation of tools for the virtual reality puppet (Virpet) portion of the smart-theater concept. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the tools we created, we produced a three minute long music video piece using the puppeteering system we developed.

The characters and concepts behind the world of EROShambo were taken from the paintings, sculptures, music and robotic-performers created by Frank Garvey. The music video is designed as an introduction to these characters and to the world they inhabit: the town of Mound.
